Junior Chamber of Commerce Program

Over 300 Junior Chamber of Commerce students from all over Shelby County participate in the year-long program. All Junior Chamber of Commerce students are required to attend an Orientation session in September where they are educated on rules, guidelines and expectations. Guest speakers give students ideas and inspiration for the work they will be involved in during the incoming year. The Conference is a fall Leadership Training event held from 8:00am until 1:00pm. Students learn leadership skills, personal improvement and other developmental life skills. Guest presenters includes students from SFA's School of Business and area/local business and government leaders. In addition to these two major events, activities throughout the year offer the Junior Chamber of Commerce students opportunities for entrepreneur training and contact with area businesses, in addition to their community service.
